| History When Bella puts her hand on a doorknob and opens the door, she will have just ended a very stressful 2 years that culminated in her death and subsequent change into a vampire. She'd never imagined all of this, of course, she'd only thought to make things easier for her newly remarried mother to travel with her husband. Things start off about the way she thought - strained relationship with a father she sees only 2 weeks a year, new school in a small town - but then everything gets thrown into chaos by meeting one boy, Edward. For the next few years, Bella struggles against her love for Edward, his self-loathing, the fact that he, and others in his world, want nothing more than to drain her blood. They persevere through all of that and reach their happy ending only to have it turn once again into a nightmare in the form of a pregnancy that will ultimately kill her and start her life as a vampire. She has one final hurdle to cross, a battle against the ruling vampire council regarding her daughter's role in the wider vampire world. With that last hurdle, her eternity with Edward, her best friend Jacob, and her daughter. Which, to me, is the perfect time to pull her out of that and throw her life into chaos again. A week may have passed from the Volturi's departure from Forks, maybe two. Time enough for her to have settled into her little piece of forever with her family. She has control enough over her vampiric nature around humans, she's confident in her strengths and her ability to defend herself mentally. But how much of that confidence is gained from having a strong coven around her? Exiting her from her canon at this point will allow me to see just how she might fare if left on her own. | |||
PERSONALITY short quote or lyric goes here Bella is a nurturer at heart. From the time she was young and living with her mother in Phoenix, Bella took on the role of caregiver. She was responsible for the bills, meals, groceries, making sure the dry cleaning was picked up. She performed the same role for her father when she moved back to his house, immediately taking over mealtimes, grocery shopping and housecleaning duties. Bella is a very quiet person as well – a trait she gets from her stoic, police chief father. She's content to just be, to get through her classes and home again. For her, a good day means that no one knew she was there. In line with her introversion, Bella also has trouble expressing her emotions and most of the time chooses to downplay them as unimportant. When Bella does interact with others, however, she has a tendency towards sarcasm and a self-depreciating sense of humor. Not much of this changes when she becomes a vampire. Her very first steps in that life are filled with worry that she will trip and be known as the first clumsy vampire in existence - positive that despite her change, she will still pale in comparison to the other vampires she's met. The one thing that Bella's change does give her, though, is a sense of rightness, of being comfortable in her own skin. After a lifetime of feeling that she was stumbling through life, she's finally found something she excels at; she feels that she was born to be a vampire and embraces it. | ||||
VAMPIRE short quote or lyric goes here Bella is a vampire but has no fangs and survives on the blood of animals, carnivores are her favorites. Her teeth are coated with venom that could lead to a person transforming into a vampire themselves if they come into contact with it. Bella's skin is ice cold and diamond-hard to the touch. She's also exceptionally strong and shaking her hand could lead to bruising if she's not thinking. She also moves very fast at her full speed, but can slow her motions to human speed. She will have what appear to be dark circles under her eyes when the irises get closer and closer to black. | ||||
